Wayne Franklyn Stimac, II passed away unexpectedly in St. Anne Mercy Hospital on February 17, 2021 at the age of 58. He was born October 20, 1962 in Port Huron, Michigan to Wayne and Karen (Wagg) Stimac. Wayne earned his Asscociates Degree in Business and went on to work in purchasing for various companies. Before an illness forcing Wayne into an early retirement, Wayne enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing tennis. He also was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings & Tigers.
In recent years, his Faith became important to him and he enjoyed watching Mass for shut-ins. Wayne also volunteered at St. Anne Mercy Hospital which he loved and where he made many friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father Wayne Stimac; step father John Molesworth; mother-in-law Evelyn Connell and brother-in-law Robert Connell, Jr.. He is survived by his wife of 31 yrs. Gail; mother Karen Molesworth; step mother Sharon Stimac; Step brother Jarrod Worthington; father-in-law Robert Connell; brothers-in-law Patrick (Veronica) and Joseph (Claudia) Connell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
A private Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church Friday at 12 Noon and will be web-streamed at CKToledo.org.
His family would like to thank the staff at US Renal Care, St. Anne Hospital and specifically Dr. Mounir Elkhatib for loving care they provided Wayne over the years. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Sisters of the Visitation Monastery, Special Olympics or Make-a-Wish.
