Jerry Daryl Chapman

It's with the saddest of hearts that we must announce the passing of our beloved family Patriarch, 

Mr. Jerry D. Chapman, Who was born in Milton, West Virginia on 05/04/1940 and moved to Toledo, Ohio as a child. Jerry was 83 years 11 months and 8 days of age when he left us quite suddenly on April 12th, 2024 at 9:30pm. He is finally reunited In Heaven with the love of his life, His Beautiful Wife Rosemary A. Chapman, Whom he married in 1961, and whom preceded him in death on March 25th 2013. Jerry is also preceded in death by both of his parents as well as all 4 of his younger siblings, James Chapman, Danny Chapman, Bonnie Sue Chapman and Gayle (Liner) Chapman. Jerry leaves behind 3 children Daughters, Kimberly Ann (Chapman) Frosch & David Frosch, Darlene Sue (Chapman) Saunders both of Toledo, Ohio and son Jeff (Sue) Chapman of Indiana. Jerry also leaves behind a whole host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who share in this tremendous loss we are all experiencing without him.

 Jerry was many things along his journey in life but some of the more notable achievements in his life were him being part of the Lucas County Sheriff's Department Auxiliary Unit in 1978, He was a Jeep/Chrysler Retiree as well as a member of the UAW Local 12. During his retirement years,  Jerry spent many holiday seasons dressing up as the Santa Claus at North Towne Mall in North Toledo and sitting to take pictures with so many children throughout the community. At one point Jerry even delivered pizzas for Little Caesars Pizza when it was located on Suder Ave in point place, Toledo Ohio. Jerry will be terribly missed by his loving family, who are rejoicing and comforted by the fact that he is now in Heaven with his Wife, Rosemary. His family as a whole is so grateful to him for the life full of love and sacrifices he made for us throughout the years and we are so thankful for all of the wonderful memories that we will all cherish forever. Rest In Heaven now to our Father, Grandfather, Uncle, And Very Special Loved One. We Love You Eternally. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to help offset expenses.
