Michael E DePew

Michael E. DePew passed away unexpectedly Monday January 7, 2019 at the age of 60. He was born November 25, 1958 in Toledo to Donald and Jacquelin (Heilman) DePew and graduated from Waite High School. He was married to the love of his life Leona for 22 years.

Mike worked as a painter and a loader in a contracting company. He loved riding his Harley- Davidson motorcycle and hanging in his jam-room. Mike taught himself to play the guitar and was pretty good.

He made friends wherever he went and was loved by all who knew him. He was known for his outgoing personality and loved making people laugh. Mike greatest pride and joy was his family especially his daughters and his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Leona; daughters Ashley (Ryan) Bailey, Brandy (Josh Kuehn) DePew, Julie (Santiago Ruiz) Myers and Misty Myers; grandchildren Cameron, Colten, Donovan, Dominic, Breanna, Brelynn, Angelina, Santiago Jr., Aliciana and Luciano; sister Dawn (Lex) Dekoning; brothers Kevin (Lynn) DePew and Timothy(Cindy) DePew as well as many nieces and nephews also survive.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday from 3 – 8 PM where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday at 11 AM. Memorial tributes may be made to the family via this website to offset expenses.
