Gregorio "Goyo" Cervantes

Gregorio "Goyo" Cervantes passed away Monday January 7, 2019 in Darlington Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 83. He was born November 17, 1935 in San Juan El Paso, Texas to Jose and Luz (Villarial) Cervantes.

Gregorio was self-employed drywall contractor for over 50 years. He took great pride in his trade renovating numerous houses as well as helping family and friends fix up their homes.

Gregorio loved music and was quite the dancer. His greatest pride was his family. He loved making all of them smile and laugh and the grandkids always would put a smile on his face. Everyone who met Gregorio knew that he was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gregorio was a good man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carmella V. Salazar Cervantes and numerous brothers & sisters; he is survived by his children Gregorio, Jose, Rene’, Miguel, Elizabeth, Aida, Pedro Salazar, Ricardo (Lynn) Salazar, Samuel (Melissa) Salazar, Rebecca Taylor, Ruth Salazar and Maria Salazar as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Monday after 2 PM followed a Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM. His family would like to thank the staff at Darlington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care of Gregorio.
