Danny E. Chapman passed away unexpectedly March 30, 2019 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family at the age of 68. He was born December 29, 1950 in Huntington, West Virginia to James & Dortha (Nickels) Chapman.
Danny worked at Jeep for 18 years before retiring in 1999. He also served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War and was a true patriot. In the Army he was a kitchen supervisor which started his love of cooking.
Danny enjoyed fishing, watching sports and was a fan of the WWE. He collected eagles, had an extensive knife collection and was proud of his Native American heritage collecting numerous Indian artifacts.
Danny was a past member of the Wheelers Motorcycle Club and Rooted in Christ Church where he was in the Bible study group.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dawn Marie Chapman; sisters Beatrice (Gail) Liner, Bonnie Sue Wieczorek, and Corie Burzinski; niece Bonnie Lee Redman; nephew Glen Lee Avery and great nephew Karl Avery, Jr..
Danny is survived by his wife Colleen Chapman; children Lisa (Lamar) Lawson; Danny E. (Joan) Jr., Jason (Marjorie) Bickford, Maryjo Rumbaugh, Jennifer Phillips, Jimbob Phillips and Jason (Sheila) Phillips; special son War (Sue) Morris; brothers James (Nancy) & Jerry Chapman; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as 3 special fur babies.
Family will receive friends Tuesday after 12 Noon followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2 PM. The family prefers memorial tributes be made to the American Heart Association.
