Patricia Garcia Obituary

Patricia Lynn Garcia passed away unexpectedly in her home March 4.2024 at the age of 51.  She was born January 12. 1973 in Toledo to Phillip and Cynthia (Harp) Vaculik and graduated from Bedford High School in 1991.  Patty worked for First Solar and 5 Pints Bar & Grill and most recently was the Food Service Coordinator at the Thomas M. Wernert Center.

Patty loved the members of the Wernert Center and took great pride being part of the staff.  She filled many roles at the center:  TMWC Client Rights Officer, Crisis Prevention Intervention Mental Health First Aid and was most proud of becoming an Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services Certified Peer Supporter.  Two of her favorite things were feeding and talking with people.  She was instrumental in establishing the HOPE Pantry at the Center, insuring members in need did not go hungry.  She will be greatly missed by her Wernert Center family.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, drawing and sewing.  Patty loved to cook and bake especially during the holidays and she was known for her Spaghettio’s and her Butter Chicken.

She loved to make people laugh and had a sarcastic wit.  Patty had a big personality that felt like a warm hug, everyone wanted a hug from Patty.

She was preceded in death by her father Phillip Vaculik; grandparents Ed and Kathy Vaculik and Mary Harp and her Aunt “B”.

Patty is survived by her loving husband Ramiro Garcia; children Veronica (Lucas) Adams, Nico Garcia and Marina Garcia; parents, Cynthia and Joel Vincent; siblings, Tanya (Michael) Russell, Jason (Laura) Hofmann, Christopher (Alexis) Hofmann, Dusti (Brad) Hedeman, Veronica (Tim Hollopeter) Vincent, Heidi Vaculik and Heather Vaculik; special cousins Betsy (Joe) Gonzalez and Amy Grossman as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends – furry and otherwise.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday March 23 after 12 Noon followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2 PM.
