Daniel Robert Schroeder, 55 , ( fondly known as SCOOP) of Toledo Ohio,
sadly left us on Saturday, February 10th at the Toledo Hospital after a 23 year
hard fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis and recently diagnosed Acute Myeloid
Leukemia.
He attended Bowsher H.S. and was a graduate of Bowling Green State
University, followed by a very successful career in Electrical Engineering.
Dan was always the most positive, strong-willed man anyone could ever
know. He fought his fight hard and gave it his ALL. He was naturally kind, loving,
and a friend to all who crossed his path.
Dan’s entire family would like to give special thanks to Regina, Tina, and
Becca for the kind and efficient home care provided for Dan these past few
years. They too became his friends.
A special thank you also to the Toledo Hospital staff during his recent
admission to Gen 6 Oncology, and to the 7th floor Intensive Care Dept.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. George McKenney for the compassion shown to our
family during Dan’s final moments.
Surviving are his son Lucas Schroeder, step-daughters Kelsie (Jeff) Davis, and
Katie (Nick) Glenn, grandchildren Caroline & Quinn Davis, and Cooper Glenn,
sister Robyn (Andy) Jones, nieces Megan, Paige, and Kelly Jones, nephew Drew
Jones, uncles Richard Schroeder, Don (Karen) Schroeder and Dave Schroeder.
We cannot forget Dan’s “grand-cats” Ella and Lola for faithfully watching over
him. Preceded in death by his mother Janet Schroeder and father Robert
Schroeder.
Our celebration of Dan’s life is scheduled for Friday, February 23rd. from 1:00
PM to 4:00 PM at the Castillo Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo
Ohio 43613. Casual dress encouraged in shades of Maize & Blue, or your
