Jacquelynn A (Jackie) Richards passed away peacefully on February 16, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 16, 1960 to Ralph and Sallie (Richards) Vint, and died at the age of 57. She graduated from Woodward High School, where she was a member of the marching band. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army from 1982-1986. Jackie was employed by Honeywell Building Services as a field technician for 12 years, before achieving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business at the University of Toledo. Most recently she had been employed by the University of Toledo Physicians. Jackie was most happy in her back yard spending time on her swing and in the pool, and at family gatherings and holidays. She loved swimming, being at the ocean in Florida (Cocoa Beach), and at the Lake (St. Joseph’s, MI). She will be remembered for her fun sense of humor, her independent will, and especially for her fierce loyalty and kindness to her family and friends. Jackie was preceded in death by grandparents Peter and Anna Shydlowski and John & Mable Richards, her Mother Sallie Vint, Father Ralph Richards, Step-Father George Vint, Brother William Vint, and Nephew Daniel Wachowiak. Left to cherish her memory is husband Clyde Eby, daughter Diana Eby, sisters Kim (Marty) Wachowiak, Nanette (John) Seman, Monica (Paul) Anstett and brother Michael Vint along with three nephews and seven nieces.
Family and Friends will be received for visitation on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 3 to 8 PM at the Castillo Funeral Home located on 1757 Tremainsville Rd. in Toledo OH. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her care givers at the Dana Cancer Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the charity of the donor’s choice.
